Today is the date of my mother's birthday.
Here is one of my most favorite photos of her. Taken in Chicago, deep into the Great Depression,
in her worn looking dress, there she stands with her hand on her hip, slight scowl on her face.
I imagine her thinking, "so hurry up and take the picture can't you see dolly and I are busy?"
