Anniversary of Paul and Dagmar Sevald

February marks the anniversary of my grandparents.
February 22, 1922  Paul Skoglund Sevaldsen married Dagmar Gundersen in Skien, Telemark, Norway in a small civil ceremony. They wore their street clothing and no lovely wedding photo was taken. I present instead a photo taken perhaps forty years later, smiling just as I remember they did.

Happy Anniversary Grandma and Grandpa!

They did have individual portraits taken upon their engagement. The story Grandma told me about those photos is one I love because it says it all about my loving, feisty, independent, no nonsense grandmother. However, that's a story for another day. Maybe tomorrow.
